Buongiorno,
Scusate il ritardo ma sto facendo i test nei ritagli di tempo. Ho installato smartmontools e la lettura dei dati smart è positiva, non sono evidenziati problemi. Tuttavia il disco non è abilitato al test off-line (ora non ricordo la sintassi precisa dell'errore a terminale). Ho un dubbio: potrebbe la causa di tutto essere semplicemente l'eccessivo spazio occupato su disco? Sarà una fatalità, ma il problema esiste solo su 1 delle 3 partizioni, quella che praticamente è piena oltre il 95%. Le altre partizioni funzionano correttamente. Avrei quasi voglia di formattare la partizione, liberare un po' di spazio, e provare se funziona. Ha senso?

Dai sintomi descritti sul tuo primo post, non sembrerebbe affatto a posto.
I sintomi sono coerenti con un problema di settori danneggiati e/o testine deboli, meno frequentemente ad un problema elettronico.
perché non posti la schermata dello smart così potrò analizzare i valori degli attributi in dettaglio, poi saprò dirti con più precisione se è un problema meccanico, elettronico o addirittura imputato al tuo PC.
P.S.
A volte lo smart non riporta le reali condizioni degli hdd, quindi non considerarlo come un mezzo di diagnosi, si tratta solo di uno strumento indicativo che può indirizzarti correttamente alla ricerca del guasto se hai un po' d'esperienza.

Non serve allegare delle bitmap per informazioni testuali.
Non mostri nulla di interessante, usa "-a" o il più prolisso "-x". Puoi usare anche il front-end grafico "gsmartcontrol" se disponibile.

Gli attributi smart non si vedono.
Manda il comando
smartctl -a /dev/sdx (al posto di x ci va la lettera corrispondente al disco da verificare con fdisk -l)
Oppure se si vuole qualcosa di molto più completo su una bella interfaccia grafica a finestre, GSmartControl

Sono domandi privilegiati e solo l'utente root può eseguirli. Accedi come root o se è configurato "sudo" sul tuo utente aggiungi prima del comando "sudo smartctl ...".

Grazie per il supporto.
Lo declasso a disco meno importante e provo a formattarlo per vedere se il problema per caso si risolve. Il disco era pieno e non vorrei che fosse stata questa la causa, assieme ad altri fattori (mancanza alimentazione la prima che mi viene in mente) a determinare l'anomalia
